Replace the fine fuel filter, for which do the following:
- shut both taps 1, 7 (figure 2.22.1) of the fuel tanks;
- drain fuel from the filter by unscrewing plug 8 (figure 5.4.51) in the bottom part of the
housing;
- do not spill fuel, drain fuel only into a special container;
- unscrew filter 1 from fitting 7 in housing 3 and replace it with a new filter, supplied
complete with gasket 2, which must first be lubricated with engine oil;
- after gasket 2 touches the mounting surface "A" on housing 3, tighten the filter by an-
other 3/4 of a turn. At the same time, turn the filter only by hand;
- open the fuel tank taps, fill the system with fuel;
- remove air from the fuel supply system.

On the BELARUS-82.3 tractors it is allowed to use indecomposable fine fuel filters with
the following main technical characteristics and dimensions according to the following parame-
ters:
- screening completeness not less than 90%;
- nominal throughput at a pressure drop of 0.01 MPa not less than 150 l/h;
- diameter - from 95 to 105 mm;
- height - from 140 to 160 mm;
- connecting thread - M16x1.5;
- outer diameter of the sealing gasket - from 70 to 75 mm.
After replacing the fine fuel filter or in case of air ingress into the fuel line, it is neces-
sary to fill and prime the fuel system of the engine.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO CRANK THE ENGINE USING THE STARTER WHEN THE
FEEDING SYSTEM IS NOT FILLED WITH FUEL. THE HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WILL
BE DAMAGED.
