5.4.5.11 Operation 54. Checking/tightening external threaded connections of the
tractor
Check and, if necessary, tighten the following most important threaded connections:
1 - front bar side members of the semi-frame;
2 - side members of the semi-frame - clutch housing;
3 - engine - clutch housing;
4 - clutch housing - gearbox housing;
5 - gearbox housing - rear axle housing;
6 - rear axle housing – semi-axle tubes;
7 rear axle housing bracket of RLL rotary shaft;
8 nuts for fastening brackets of external blocking of RLL lower links;
9 - front and rear cab supports;
11 - FDA body - tubes;
12 - tubes - wheel gear groups;
13 - pins of the steering hydraulic cylinder;
14 - brackets of the steering hydraulic cylinder;
15 - locknuts of the steering rod pipe;
16 steering rod ball pins.
1. Check and, if necessary, tighten twelve M16 bolts (six bolts on each side) fas-
tening the side members to the front bar with a torque of 160 to 180 Nm.
2. Check and, if necessary, tighten nine M16 bolts fastening the side members to
the clutch housing with a torque of 180 to 200 Nm.
3. Check and, if necessary, tighten two M12 bolts connecting the engine to the
clutch housing with a torque of 80 to 100 Nm.
4. Check and, if necessary, tighten ten M16 bolts at the junction of the gearbox
housing and the clutch housing with a torque of 160 to 200 Nm.
5. Check and, if necessary, tighten seven M18 bolts and two M18 nuts at the junc-
tion of the gearbox housing and the rear axle housing with a torque of 250 to 315 Nm.
6. Check and, if necessary, tighten nine M16 bolts at both junctions of the rear axle
housing and the semi-axle tube with a torque of 160 to 200 Nm.
Note To access the bolt heads, it is necessary to remove the rear wheels of the
tractor.
7. Check and, if necessary, tighten five M20x60 bolts fastening the RLL rotary shaft
bracket to the rear axle housing with a torque of 250 to 300 Nm.
8. Check and, if necessary, tighten four lower nuts (on studs) М16 fastening brack-
ets of external blocking of RLL lower links with a torque of 160 to 220 Nm.
9. Check and, if necessary, tighten the attachment of the cab support brackets (front
and rear) to the tractor frame. The tightening torque of six M16 bolts of the front brackets is
from 160 to 200 Nm. The tightening torque of four M20 bolts of the rear brackets is from
220 to 250 Nm.
Check and, if necessary, tighten the attachment of the vibration insulators to the
support brackets. The tightening torque of twelve M12 bolts (four vibration insulators) is
from 70 to 90 Nm.
Check tightness of four M16 nuts attaching the cabin to the tractor frame, for which
it is necessary to do the following:
- unscrew locking (lower) nuts M16 by a few turns;
- tighten fastening nuts (upper) M16 with a torque of 160 to 200 Nm.
- screw locking (lower) nuts M16 in and tighten with a torque of 160 to 200 Nm.
