The non-linearities obtained in the upper range of the characteristic
curve are compensated for by means of a correction line adjusted
to the measuring site and stored in the evaluation electronics. The
required tag-specific calculations will be provided by BERTHOLD
TECHNOLOGIES.

1.4.4 Point Source / Point Detector Arrangement
In exceptional cases (little space available) or very small measure-
ment range, you can also choose an arrangement with point source
and point detector (see Figure 1-8). The purely exponential
non-linearities obtained in the upper range of the characteristic
curve are automatically compensated for by means of a mathemat-
ical function included in the evaluation electronics. The required
tag-specific calculations will be provided by BERTHOLD
TECHNOLOGIES.
