3.7.2 Maximum Signal Cable Length
The Uni-Probe includes a passive signal output.
The installed communication interface is suitable for an industrial
intrinsically safe fieldbus such as Profibus PA and FOUNDATION
™
Fieldbus according to IEC 61158-2.
3.7.3 Technical Data for the Intrinsically Safe Signal
Port of the Uni-Probe
The signal output of the Uni-Probe is suitable for connection to
intrinsically safe fieldbuses such as Profibus PA or FOUNDATION
™
Fieldbus H1, according to IEC 61158-2.
The following data refer to the wires of the pre-assembled and
already connected bus cable:
Wire 1 (+)
Wire 2 (-)
Installation according to FISCO The Uni-Probe is suitable for connection to a bus according to the
FISCO model in accordance with ISO with the following maximum
electrical values:
Ui = 17.5V, Ii = 380mA and Pi = 5.32W.
According to the FISCO/IEC 60079-27 model, the connectable
maximum branch cable length is limited to 60m. The 20m of the
firmly connected cable have to be taken into account.
Installation according to type of
protection Ex ia IIB
The following maximum values according to PTB 06 ATEX 2004
have to be observed:
Voltage: Ui 17.5V
Amperage: Ii 280mA
Capacity: Pi 4.9W
The maximum effective internal capacity and inductivity of the
Uni-Probe is negligible. However, the cable data of the 20m firmly
connected cable has to be taken into account for interconnection.
The cable data of the 20m cable length are as follows:
Capacity: 2.84nF
Inductivity: 0.013mH
Installation according to type of
protection Ex ia IIC
The following maximum values according to PTB 06 ATEX 2004
have to be observed:
Voltage: Ui 24V
Amperage: Ii 250mA
Capacity: Pi 1.2W
