Flywheel and Stator Servicing

Use Flywheel Socket, P/N 357715, to remove fly-
wheel nut. Discard the flywheel nut.
Use Flywheel Puller, P/N 357714, to remove the
flywheel. Apply Moly Lube grease to the threads
of the puller pressing screw and the center hole of
the crankshaft.
Install the puller body into the flywheel 50 mm
threads at least 6 full turns.
If the 50 mm threads of the flywheel are damaged,
install the puller flange onto the puller body. Then
attach the flywheel puller to the flywheel with three
puller screws.
Hold the puller body with a wrench, and tighten
the pressing screw until the flywheel releases.
Turn the center screw and lift the flywheel off of
the crankshaft.
Flywheel Installation
Install the outer edge of flywheel key parallel with
centerline of crankshaft.

CAUTION
To avoid injury, keep hands and fingers clear
from underside of flywheel. Flywheel can
snap toward stator with great magnetic force.
NOTICE
Use a new flywheel nut to install the flywheel.
