Powerhead
Powerhead Assembly
Slide piston and rod assembly into the correct cyl-
inder, as marked during disassembly. Guide con-
necting rod through cylinder block to avoid
scratching cylinder wall.
Cylinder Head Installation
Apply Triple Guard grease to the o-rings.
Place the cylinder and oil passage o-rings on the
cylinder head as shown. Make SURE the oil pas-
sages are NOT blocked.
Apply soapy water to water dams and insert into
block.
Apply a thin bead of RTV around each of the
water passages on the block and cylinder head as
shown:
Install cylinder head with the thermostat toward
the top. Apply Triple-Guard grease to threads and
install the 8 cylinder head nuts and 12 screws.
DO NOT use any sealant on threads
