DPS Manifold Service

Install the plate to the stern brackets with four
screws. Tighten screws to a torque of 18 to 24 in.
lbs. (2 to 2.7 N·m).
Install the stern and swivel bracket on the boat,
then install the engine to the stern and swivel
bracket. Refer to Stern & Swivel Bracket Instal-
lation on p. 337.
Then remove the shipping bracket and two screws
from the outboard.
Fill and bleed the steering system.
Refer to Filling and Bleeding the Hydraulic
Steering System on p. 48.
Calibrate the steering pressure sensors on AFA
and newer models.
Refer to Steering Pressure Sensor Calibration
(AFA and Newer Models Only) on p. 309.
Fill and bleed the trim and tilt system. refer to Fill-
ing the Trim and Tilt System on p. 332.
Confirm the trim and tilt fluid level is correct. Refer
to Trim and Tilt Fluid Level on p. 332.
Install the port, starboard and front frames, and
engine covers. Refer to Engine Cover and
Frame Service on p. 55.
Disassembly
Service of the DPS manifold requires removal
from the outboard. Refer to DPS Module
Removal on p. 307.
Separate the DPS manifold from the trim mani-
fold:
• Remove two screws and washers from the bot-
tom of the trim manifold
• Remove one screw from the top of the DPS
manifold
