Exhaust Housing Installation
Align the exhaust housing and adapter onto the
swivel bracket assembly.
Install the two upper mount washers and nuts.
Install the four lower mount screws.
Tighten the upper mount nuts to a torque of.
Tighten the lower mount screws to a torque of.
Install the:
• Powerhead. Refer to Powerhead Installation
starting on p. 264.
• Gearcase. Refer to Gearcase Gearcase
Removal and Installation starting on p. 361.
• Oil tank assembly. Refer to Oil Tank Installa-
tion starting on p. 205.
Exhaust Adapter Removal
Remove the exhaust hosing and adapter from the
swivel bracket. Refer to.
Remove one hose clamp and two tie straps. Then
remove the hoses from the hose fittings.
Next remove the muffler and hose from the
exhaust pipe. Then carefully remove the foam
gasket from the adapter
Remove the two adapter screws.
From the bottom of the exhaust housing, push the
water tube forward to release it from the casting.
