Install the oil fill hose to the center frame.
• Secure with one 51.5 mm Oetiker clamp if oil fill
hose is clear.
• Secure with one 56.0 mm Oetiker clamp if oil fill
hose is black.
Assemble all port side electrical connectors and
hoses. Refer to the Powerhead section for port
side reference views.
IMPORTANT: Route and secure all connectors
and hoses to prevent chafing and contact with
sharp surfaces.
• Stator connector
• Crankshaft position sensor connector
• Starter ground cable
• Throttle body connector -place wire in clip
(assemble the throttle body to the air plenum,
secure with one 99.5 mm Oetiker clamp)
• Air temperature sensor connector
• Engine grounds (tighten the ground screw to 84
to 106 in.lb. (9.5 to 12 N·m)
• Dynamic power steering module connector
(lower connector only)
• Exhaust back pressure hose
• Muffler temperature sensor connector
• Knock sensor connector
• Fuse box connector (assemble the fuse box to
the bracket)
• Temperature sensor connector
• Ignition coil connectors (3X)
• Fuel injector connectors (3X)
• EMM cooling hose
(secure with one 15.7 mm Oetiker clamp)
• Shift actuator connector
Assemble all starboard side electrical connectors
and hoses. Refer to the Powerhead section for
starboard side reference views.
IMPORTANT: Route and secure all connectors
and hoses to prevent chafing and contact with
sharp surfaces.
• Ignition coil connectors (3X)
• Vapor separator and fuel pump assembly con-
nector (install clip to fuel rail)
• Positive battery cable connections (starter, bat-
tery charging, and DPS power cables)
• Crankcase oil pump connector
• Oil level sensor connector
• Vapor separator cooling hose
• Vapor separator vent solenoid connector
• Temperature sensor connector
• Water-in-fuel sensor connector (snap the clip to
the convoluted tubing)
• Starboard block ground
• Cylinder oil pump connector
• Trim sender connector
• Trim switch connector
• Water valve connector
• Water pressure sensor connector (if the
optional sensor is not installed, place the con-
nector under the trim relay)
• Trim relay connector
• Cylinder oil pump
• Low oil switch connector
• Fuel injector connectors (3X)
• Knock sensor connector
