CDM-625A Advanced Satellite Modem MN-CDM625A
Front Panel Operation Revision 4
6–2
6.1.1 LED Indicators
In general, the Alarm relay state reflects the state of
the Front Panel LEDs. For example, if the Unit Status
LED is red, the Unit Alarm relay is active, etc. The sole
exception is the Transmit Traffic relay – it does not
reflect the state of the Tx carrier; it activates only if a
Transmit Traffic Fault exists.
The front panel LED indicators function as follows:
LED State Function
Tx (Transmit)
TRAFFIC
Green No Tx Traffic faults
Off
A Tx Traffic fault exists (this is independent of the Transmit Carrier state – see TX
Carrier LED)
Tx (Transmit)
Carrier
Green
Tx Carrier is ON (reflects the true state of the Tx carrier, regardless of Tx Traffic
Off Tx Carrier is OFF
Rx (Receive)
TRAFFIC
Green
No Rx Traffic faults (Demod/FEC decoder are locked, valid frame sync, if applicable,
and no other Rx traffic alarms)
Off
An Rx Traffic fault exists (frame sync alarm, etc - the demod may still be OK – see
DEMOD
LOCK
Green The demodulator and FEC decoder are locked
Off The demodulator and/or FEC decoder are not locked
CnC ACTIVE
Green CnC Mode is active
Off CnC Mode is not active
CnC LOCK
Green CnC Mode is active and the CnC algorithm has converged and locked
Off If CnC Mode is active, the CnC algorithm has not converged and locked
TIMED
FEATURE
Green
Demo Mode is active
Time Limited CnC is active with > 15 days left before
expiration or Fractional CnC is active, but unit is offline
Red Time Limited CnC or Fractional CnC allowed time has expired
Orange Fractional CnC is active, unit is online with < 15 days left before expiration
Off No time limited feature enabled. (will also turn off after Demo Mode time has expired)
DISTANT
END
Green
CnC-APC
EDMAC mode is active, and distant-end demod
Orange
CnC-APC or IP-ACM or V2-ACM or EDMAC mode is active, and distant-end demod
is not locked
Off CnC-APC or IP-ACM or V2-ACM or EDMAC is active, and local demod is unlocked
