9.4.5 Loading chart permits for ARCS Navigator license
Permits are usually delivered in a floppy disk. You may load permits as follows:
Select Next Chart
1. Open the Chart menu then choose Chart Permits from the menu.
2. Choose Navigator license as the type of license. Insert a permit floppy disk in the floppy disk drive. Click the
Load File button.
3. Choose Gb.ncp then click the Open button.
4. Check in the Permit Management window that permits are displayed here with correct information. Close the
window by pressing the CANCEL key on the Control Unit RCU-018 or clicking the X at the upper right side of
the window.
Enter Manual button:
This function enables manual entry of a permit string that is delivered, for example, by telex. After typing the string,
the operator can accept it by clicking the Add button or reject it by clicking the X at the upper right side of the
window.
Backup button:
This button opens the "Save As" window, where the operator may make a backup copy from a chart permit file.
