To use RADAR as the master clock source:
Connect a clock cable from RADAR’s output into the other device’s input.
Set the other device to clock (sync) to external clock.
Now the other device will be using RADAR’s internal clock for clocking.
RADAR always outputs all clock formats, except 2 -Ch AES and SPDIF.
For externally clocking a RADARLink
TM
system, only the master machine needs to be
synced to an external clock source as all slave machines are clocked to the master
machine via the Rlink cable.
Try using the sync box as a slave distribution box for RADAR’s clock to improve the sound
of the other digital gear.
SYNCHRONIZATION WITH A DAW
To expand the number of total tracks with another recorder or to include Sequencer tracks, a common
time location reference (timecode) between devices is required.
RADAR AS THE MASTER
Connect a SMPTE or MTC cable and clock cable from RADAR’s output into the other device’s
input.
Set the other device to chase external timecode and its clock to external clock.
Now the other device will follow RADAR’s location and position can be controlled using RADAR’s
transport.
