Test Conditions
Various test conditions can be set.
Touch the [Test] tab in the "condition setup" tab block to display the settings screen for the
test method.
[Scale], [Force/Time], [Correction], and [Settings] are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
The [Scale] screen is displayed right after the Test screen is displayed.

Scale
The scale screen changes the scale settings.
For details about the settings for the test method, see
"5.2 Test Method" (page G-50).

Scale button Displays the scale that is selected on the button.
Touch the scale button to display the scale selection screen and
change the scale directly.
Touch the scale button to use, and then touch the [OK] button.
The test method, indenter, preliminary test force, and the total test
force related to the scale are displayed at the bottom of the scale
selection screen.

Test method selection Touch to select the [Rockwell] button (Rockwell hardness test) or the
[Superc.]button(Rockwellsupercialhardnesstest).

Indenter selection Selects the indenter to use. If the ball indenter is selected, the ball
material selection buttons above the ball indenter selection button
become active. Touch to select the [W] button (carbide ball) or the
[S] button (steel ball).

Test force selection Selects the total test force to run the test.
The test force switches to the test force indicated by the selection
button that is touched during the Rockwell hardness test and the
Rockwellsupercialhardnesstest.
