3.2.2 Group
Multiple results can be grouped and the average results can be calculated for the group when running a
test on multiple points.
Forexample,thisfunctionisusefultorunatestonvepointsonaspecimen,excludethemaximumand
minimum values, and average three points to obtain the hardness value of the specimen.
If a group is set, the average value obtained from the test results for the number of points you set is
treated as a single point even if a test is executed on multiple points on a specimen.

Each touch of the button enables (ON) or disables (OFF) the setting.

Specify the number of points in Number group.
The input range for Number group is from 2 through 99.
If 2 is set for Number group, the maximum and minimum check box is disabled.

Maximum and
minimum check
box
Specify whether to include the maximum and minimum values when calcu-
lating the average value with the results obtained from the points you set.
This check box is enabled when Number group is set to 3 or more.
