Installing or Removing the Bellows
Removing the bellows from the main unit of the testing machine allows specimens that are 100 mm or
taller to be tested.
6.1
Removing the Bellows
1
Lower the specimen stage.
1 Turn the up/down handle counterclock-
wise to lower the specimen stage until
the gap between the indenter and the
vertical shaft is at least 100 mm.
2 Remove the indenter.

"3.1 Replacing the Indenter" (page
H-5) in "PART H Inspection and Main-
tenance".
3 Remove the specimen.
4 Remove the anvil.
