External Output

Serial Interface (RS-232C)
Data can be output to a receipt printer via RS-232C.
NOTICE
• Thesettingsarexedandcannotbechangedwiththemainunitofthetestingmachine.
• The output is for a receipt printer only. Do not connect other devices.

USB Interface
Connection between the main unit of the testing machine and a PC via a USB interface allows output to
Mitutoyo's EXPAK software.
For details about how to connect to EXPAK, see the user's manual supplied with EXPAK.
Tips
When data is output via USB from EXPAK, "H6N=" will be output. (For serial output, "N=" is output.)

Digimatic Interface (SPC)

For printer DP-1VA LOGGER (optional accessory), connect it using the dedicated connecting
cable.

In the external output settings, set the [SPC] setting to [Automatic] or [Manual].

Tips
• UndertheDigimaticinterfacespecication,whenanexternalrequestsignalistransmittedfromaDigimatic
device to the HR-530 series, the currently displayed hardness data is output.
• Output occurs even if the Digimatic interface is set to OFF in the external output settings. The decimal point
positionisxed,andthenumberofdigitsafterthedecimalpointisassetin
"5.3 Display" (page G-51) in
"PART G Settings".
