4. To change the settings for a selected Access Port, select an Access Port from the table and click the Edit
button.
5. To configure an external Syslog server on the AAP from the switch, click the Syslog Config button.
6. Click the LLDP Settings button to enable Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP).
4.9.3.1 Editing Access Port Settings
To edit Access Port Settings:
1. Select Network > Access Port from the main menu tree.
2. Click the Configuration tab.
3. Select an Access Port from the table and click the Edit button
4. Configure the Country and VLAN Tagging for the selected AP:
Syslog Mode For the selected AAP, this option enables or disables logging to an external Syslog
server.
LLDP Settings Enables the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), which is a protocol that enables
devices to advertise their capabilities and media-specific configuration
information.
Country Select the Country that the Access Port will be configured to operate in.
Enable VLAN
Trunking
Ensure that the Enable VLAN Trunking option is selected. Trunk lines are
required to pass VLAN information between destinations. A trunk port, by default,
is a member of all the VLANs existing on the access port and carries traffic for all
those VLANs. Trunking is a function that must be enabled on both sides of a link.
