4.10.4 Viewing and Configuring Port Instance Details
Use the Port Instance tab to view and configure MST parameters per port per instance, including Port
Priority and Admin Internal Path Cost.
To view and configure the MSTP bridge instance:
1. Select Network > Multiple Spanning Tree from the main menu tree.
Port Path Cost Port Path Cost displays the path cost for the specified port index. The default path
cost depends on the speed of the interface.

Admin Point-to-Point
status
Defines the point-to-point status as ForceTrue or ForceFalse. ForceTrue indicates
this port should be treated as connected to a point-to-point link. ForceFalse
indicates this port should be treated as having a shared connection. A port
connected to a hub is on a shared link, while one connected to a switch or
workstation is a point-to-point link.
Port Enable Select this checkbox to use this port for the forwarding of packets on the switch.
Port Migration The switch can interoperate with legacy 802.1d bridges running STP / RSTP. If the
port receives a legacy 802.1D configuration BPDU, it only sends 802.1D BPDUs over
its port from that point on. Enable this option to restart detection of whether the
port is connected to an MSTP capable bridge or a legacy 802.1 bridge.
Admin Edge Port Select the checkbox to define this port as an admin edge port.
