4.3.12 FITTING THE GUARD FOR SAW BLADE AND SCORER

- Lift the saw assembly by turning the handwheel (A fig. 4.3-12).
- Insert the protection (C fig. 4.3-12) in the hole (D fig. 4.3-12) tightening the handle (E fig. 4.3-12).
DANGER-WARNING:
never remove this guard: it shall be fitted in order to cover the saw blade as much as possible.
NOTE-INFORMATION:
the machine is always equipped with 1 riving knife.
Fit the guard to the riving knife according to saw blade diameter (you have to consider the
reference elements engraved on the riving knife).
DANGER-WARNING:
adjust the position of the riving knife (see Par. 6.1) so that its distance from the saw blade is
between 3 and 8 mm (see example in fig. 4.3-12).
The dividing knife is in the right position when the saw guard covers a part of the cutting edge of
the saw blade.
Connect the exhaust pipe (H fig. 4.3-12) to the suction system with hoses of proper diameter.
With this protective hood, it's strictly forbidden to carry out not-through cuts.
