c. Check for continuity between the slip
ring and shaft (or core), Figure 603Y.
If there is continuity, it means that the
coil or slip ring is grounded.
Replace the rotor assembly.
B. Stator
a. Check for continuity between the leads
of the stator coil, Figure 604Y.
If there is no continuity, the stator coil
is defective.
Replace the stator assembly.
b. Check for continuity between any stator
lead and stator core, Figure 605Y.
If there is continuity, it means that the
coil is grounded.
Replace the stator assembly.
