Reducingrattlenoise
Ensurethatnopartsnearthetransducercanrattleasaresultofwateroworvibrations.
Reducinginterference
Interferencefromthetransmissionpulsesfromotherhydroacousticinstrumentsonboardthe
vesselisdifculttoavoid.
Theproblemmaybereducedbychoosingtheworkingfrequenciescarefullyandtosome
extentbyseparatingthedifferenttransducers.
Onvesselswithalargenumberofseparatehydroacousticsystemsinstalledandin
simultaneoususe,aseparatesynchronizingsystem(forexampletheK-Sync)shouldbe
considered.
Reducingelectricalnoise
Placethetransducercablesinmetalconduitsfromasclosetothetransduceraspossible,
andallthewaytotherearsideofthetransceiver.
Makesurethatallunitsareproperlygrounded,asthisisimportanttoavoidelectrical
noise.
Youmustuseshieldedcableswithcorrectgrounding.
SeparateEK80cablesfromothercableswithheavycurrentsortransients.
Placeallhighvoltagepowercablesinmetalconduits.
