9.5. FLIGHT REPORTS messages
Flight reports uplink and downlink messages are processed only if AOC
function is enabled.
Flight Reports provide real time information to the ground concerning
the current situation and position of the A/C.
− Position Report provides current aircraft position information to the
ground.
− Progress Report provides data relative to the destination.
− Flight Plan Report provides the active lateral flight plan route to
the ground.
− Performance Data Report provides the active Performance Data
currently used by the FMS.

Position Report
Overview
The position report message (POS) contains data relative to ACTIVE
F-PLN: A/C present position, time, altitude, FROM and TO waypoints.
It may be sent manually via a prompt on the MCDU (provided AMI
option is selected), or, sent in response to a ground request, or,
automatically upon crossing a position-reporting fix designated by the
ground (in POS uplink message).
