Example
Add a description Port_5 to port 1/0/5:
T2500G-10TS(config)# interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/5

23.4 shutdown
Description
The shutdown command is used to disable an Ethernet port. To enable this
port again, please use no shutdown command.
Syntax
shutdown
no shutdown
