D. Set the key switch to the OFF position.

FF position, to de-energize the
electrical system.
6. If the wire harness tests correctly and a circuit problem still exists, replace the
speed sensor.
7. Switch the main circuit breaker to the O
N position, to energize the electrical
system.

Note: All three speed sensor options are adjusted in the same way.

1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower any attachments to the ground,
engage the parking brake, and remove the key from the ignition.
2. Loosen the mounting bolts.
3. Adjust the sensor so that the face of the sensor is .060 in. away from the speed
indicator plate.
Check the clearance with a feeler gauge.
4. Tighten the mounting bolts.
