The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL DESC RIPTIO N
Active Check this box to enable VLAN Isolation in a VLAN.
Name Enter a descriptive name (up to 32 printable ASCII characters) for identification purposes.
VLAN ID Enter a VLAN ID from 1 to 4094. This is the VLAN to which this rule applies.
Promiscuous Ports Enter the number of the ports that can communicate with any ports in the same VLAN.
Other ports belonging to this VLAN will be added to the isolation list and can only send and
receive traffic from the ports you specify here.
Add Click Add to insert the entry in the summary table below and save your changes to the
Switch’s run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so
use the Sa ve link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile
memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Ca nc e l to reset the fields to your previous configuration.
Clear Click Cle a r to clear the fields to the factory defaults.
Index This is the index number of the rule.
Active This shows whether this rule is activated or not.
Name This is the descriptive name for this rule.
VLAN This is the VLAN to which this rule is applied.
Promiscuous Ports This shows the ports that can communicate with any ports in the same VLAN.
Select an entry’s check box to select a specific entry. Otherwise, select the check box in the
table heading row to select all entries.
Delete Check the rules that you want to remove and then click the De le te button.
Cancel Click Ca nc e l to clear the check boxes.
