The individual parts of a Tower-Sens detector are compressed by
connection clamp and the last extension module must be provided
with an end cap. The design is illustrated in Figure 2-6.
 For installation, you first have to provide a suitable mounting
base and the mounting plate ("6.4.5 Installation Proposal for
Tower-Sens Base", page 2–272). Then install the mounting
base and the fixing clamps on the vessel as shown in Figure
2-6.
IMPORTANT
The clamps and the mounting base must be mounted exactly verti-
cal on top of each other.
 Take off the end cap from the basic module: push down the cap
from above and unscrew the connection clamp.
 Put the yellow protection cap on the detector rod of the basic
module to avoid dirt which would damage the detector.
 Put the basic module with the detector plate on the mounting
base and fix it with four screws.
 Secure the top end of the basic module with the pre-assembled
fixing clamps.
Installing the extension module  Put the first extension module onto the basic module. Push the
module up by approx. 20 cm and secure it with the fixing clamp.
If this is the only extension module, you have to install the end
cap first, see page 2–154.
IMPORTANT
Protect the module ends against humidity and dirt.
