can use USB to connect the MultiFlo FX to the computer or the RS232 serial port to
connect to a BioStack or similar robotic device. But you cannot use both ports
simultaneously, i.e. make sure only one cable is plugged in at a time.

Startup
Problem Possible Cause What To Do
Syringe or
manifold
position
error.
Syringe or manifold is
being obstructed.
Remove obstruction.
Motor, sensor, or
electrical problem.
Turn instrument off, wait at least 15 seconds, turn
it back on and run a Quick Dispense routine, e.g.
Prime. If the problem persists, contact BioTek
TAC.
Syringe piston not seated
all the way to the bottom
before fastening set
screw.
Reinstall the syringe head.
Dispense Manifold Movement
Problem Possible Cause What To Do
Manifold position
error.
Manifold movement is
blocked.
Increase the Plate Clearance height setting.
Allow at least 1 mm clearance above plate.
Check for/remove any obstructions.
