3. With the check valve’s flow-direction arrows pointing away from the pump,
connect the other tube (without fittings) to the top port of the Syringe pump.
4. Slide the manifold onto the
two posts on the dispense
arm with the tubing end
closest to the instrument.
Except for the dual 8-
channel manifold that has
two manifolds in one
block, install Syringe A’s
manifold first. Syringe B’s
manifold must be installed
after Syringe A’s.
5. Connect the supply tube to
the dispense manifold.

of each dispenser’s manifold: A slides on first, then B.
n Specialprocedurerequiredformagneticbeadassays! A magnet holds
the two manifolds in place on the dispense arm. You can remove the magnet
when necessary for certain assays (as described on page 151).
