To separate the injectors:
• Carefully pull each injector to separate it from
the fuel tubes.
• Remove the screw retaining the fuel fitting to
the top injector. Then remove the fitting from the
injector.
• Remove the screw retaining the fuel fitting to
the bottom injector. Then remove the plug fitting
from the injector.
• Remove the o-rings from the fuel fitting, each
fuel tube and the plug fitting.
Crush Ring Replacement
Use Fuel Injector Puller Kit, P/N 356461, to
remove injector from mounting cup.
Turn the nut of the fuel injector puller counter–
clockwise several turns. Place the fuel injector
puller on the fuel injector housing.
Align the angled edges of both sides of the tool
base with the edge of the fuel injector housing as
shown.
Thread the puller screw into the fuel injector 1/4-
20 threaded hole until it seats.
Turn puller nut clockwise until it contacts the puller
base.
Use a 1/2 inch (13 mm) wrench to continue turn-
ing the puller nut clockwise.
NOTICE
Injector crush rings must be replaced if injec-
tor is installed in a different head or cylinder
location.
