Use shop towels to clean up spilled steering fluid.
Install plug and nut assembly in the hose fittings of
the stern and swivel assembly.
Install plugs in the hydraulic hose fittings to pre-
vent steering fluid from leaking.
Wipe off any spilled steering fluid.
Remove the four screws retaining the rigging cen-
ter. Then remove the rigging center.
Disconnect the electrical connectors for the trim
motor and trim sender.
Note the routing of the harnesses for the trim
motor and trim sender. Pull the harnesses back to
the stern and swivel bracket.
If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors
from the DPS module.
Note the routing of the harnesses for the DPS
motor and sensor. Pull the harnesses back to the
stern and swivel bracket.
Remove the 4 inch plug from the center frame.
Next remove the 3.5 inch plug from the air duct.
