SUMMARY STEPS
1.
Make certain that the chassis ground is connected on the chassis before you begin installing the DC power
supply as shown in the xref Attaching a Chassis Ground Connection section.
2.
On the rear of the chassis next to the power supply bay PS1 as shown in the figure on page 5, make certain
the power supply switch is in Standby position.
3.
Turn off the circuit breaker to the power supply.
DETAILED STEPS
Step 1

Step 2
On the rear of the chassis next to the power supply bay PS1 as shown in the figure on page 5, make certain the power
supply switch is in Standby position.
Step 3
Turn off the circuit breaker to the power supply.
Removing DC Input Power from the Cisco ASR 1001 Router
This section describes how to remove a DC power supply from the Cisco ASR 1001 Router. Follow these
steps:

Turn off the circuit breaker.
2.
On the rear of the chassis, place the Standby switch in the Standby position (|).
3.
Pull the terminal block plug connector out of the terminal block head in the power supply.
4.
Unscrew the two power supply fasteners on the unit.
5.
Grasping the power supply handle with one hand, pull the power supply out from the chassis, while at the
same time, supporting it with the other hand.

Step 1
