22.2 How to Receive NAVTEX Messages
When a Navtext message is received in ECDIS, the alert "798 NAVTEX message received" appears. To display a
NAVTEX message, do as follows:
1. Display Menu/Info/Chart Menu in the mouse functions area then push the left
mouse button to open the Main menu.
2. Select NAVTEX Message from the menu then push the scrollwheel.
3. In the Filter field, select Unread.
Note: The Lat/Lon field contains a list of lat/lon coordinates found from NAVTEX
message using artificial intelligence. Typically such coordinates show the point or area
of interest for the NAVTEX message.
