29.2.9 Weather and wind window
The weather and wind window shows
• Wind direction, true or relative
• Wind speed
• Air pressure (optional)
Weather conditions of last 12 hours are shown.
Numerical values are presented in magenta for True Wind and in orange for
Relative Wind. Colors are the same as with direction indicators of Speed
Display. Speed units still depend on user’s selection (in “Others” page of
SENSORS dialog of ECDIS). Graphical information (wind speed and
direction curves) is only available for True Wind. Direction curve is plotted
with magenta and speed curve with green color.
Note: The description above pertains to the “Wind” selection for the
Conning Display in the Installation Parameters. A “Weather and Wind”
display is available, and it additionally provides "Air Pressure curve."
29.2.10 Depth window
The depth window shows, in digital and
analog formats, the latest 30 minutes of
depth data fed from an echo sounder.
Three depth scales are available: 50 m,
100 m and 200 m. Depth alert limit is
also shown.
