5. Standby Mode
5.1 How to Switch Standby Mode ON and OFF
The standby mode deactivates the audio alarms from the ECDIS. Use it while in harbour or other similar situation
where use of the ECDIS is not required.
When you switch the Standby mode to ON, Human Interface, ARCS and S57 drawing processes are automatically
restarted.
1. Spin the scrollwheel to show Menu/Info/Chart Menu in the mouse functions area then push the scrollwheel.
2. Spin the scrollwheel to select Initial Settings then push the scrollwheel.
3. Put the cursor on the triangle inside the Initial Settings dialog box, and the menu shown below appears.

4. Select Standby then push the scrollwheel.
5. The following window appears at the top of the ECDIS display to indicate that audio alarms are switched off.
To switch the Standby mode to OFF, that is, return to normal operation, select "BACK TO NORMAL MODE" with
the cursor then push the left mouse button.
