EP Notice to Mariners (NM)
ENC P (EP) NMs contain additional information that is specific to ENCs and cannot be published as a standard
Admiralty T&P NM. These NMs are displayed in the same way as T&P NMs – a red polygon with red hatched fill
indicates the area affected by the NM. Each NM is allocated a unique EP NM number.
Like with T&P NMs, you can view the full text of the NM. The EP also may contain an associated picture file to
provided additional information.

Where there is no equivalent scale Admiralty paper chart, the UKHO does not have any additional information and
the AIO shows a ‘No Overlay’ feature. An area where there is no overlay is shown as a grey polygon with a grey
hatched fill.
