IEC power cord
A power cord manufactured in accordance with standards set by the International
Electrotechnical Commission.
IEEE
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The IEEE is a professional organization that
develops a wide variety of standards. The IEEE 802 family of standards defines Ethernet and
related communication systems.
input device
A component that inputs video, audio, and/or data to the broadcast encoding system . See also output

input transport
Also known as a source transport, it contains all input devices for a transport in a single, easy-to-
use place. Input devices can include video tape decks, satellite feeds, and so on.
Invalid video
The percentage of invalid video frames during the sampling period. If the encoder lost the input
video signal during the sampling period, it will report an invalid video value of 100 to indicate an
invalid source for all frames.
I/O
Input/Output. Refers to a connection that inputs or outputs data.
IOM Card
Input Output Modules (ProStream 1000 and Electra/Ion encoders) Cards which may have either
signal input, output, or a combination of both.
