Wireless Interface Commands
Example
beacon-interval
This command configures the rate at which beacon frames are transmitted
from the access point. See rate-limit (page 9-156) syntax for setting the broad-
cast/multicast rates and burst values (in packets per second).
Syntax
beacon-interval <value>
• value - The rate for transmitting beacon frames.
(Range: 20-2000 microseconds)
Default Setting
100. The default behavior is to send a beacon frame once every 100
microseconds (or 10 per second).

The beacon frames allow wireless stations to maintain contact with the
access point. They may also carry power-management information.
