Parameters
size: Sets the MTU in bytes. The value range for this argument is 46 to 1500.
Usage guidelines
If you configure both the mtu and ip mtu commands on a VLAN interface, the MTU set by the ip
mtu
command is used for fragmentation. For more information about the ip mtu command, see
Layer 3—IP Services Command Reference.
Examples
# Set the MTU to 1492 bytes for VLAN-interface 1.

Default
The name of a VLAN is VLAN vlan-id. The vlan-id argument specifies the VLAN ID in a four-digit
format. If the VLAN ID has fewer than four digits, leading zeros are added. For example, the name of
VLAN 100 is VLAN 0100.

Usage guidelines
For 802.1X or MAC authentication, you can specify authorization VLANs by their names or IDs. If a
large number of VLANs are configured, use VLAN names to identify them.
