Usage guidelines
This command takes effect only when the device is operating in PVST mode.
Disabling inconsistent PVID protection might cause spanning tree calculation errors. To avoid such
errors, make sure the following requirements are met:
• Make sure the VLANs on one device do not use the same ID as the PVID of its peer port (except
the default VLAN) on another device.
• If the local port or its peer is a hybrid port, do not configure the local and peer ports as untagged
members of the same VLAN.
• Disable inconsistent PVID protection on both the local device and the peer device.
Examples
# In PVST mode, disable the inconsistent PVID protection feature.
