Drive batteries
Charging the battery using an
external battery charger
When using external battery chargers, certain
requirements must be observed without fail:
• Only use battery chargers and battery
charger characteristic curves that are
permitted for the battery size.
• The battery must be charged
only with
DC and following charging p
rocedures in
accordance with DIN 41773 a
nd DIN 41774.
• The battery charger must comply with
the limit values for charging current and
charging voltage in accordance with
DIN EN 60079-7, even in the event of a
fault (safety shutdown).
• In the gassing area, limit currents in accor-
dance with DIN EN 50272-3 must not be
exceeded. Equalising charge with a maxi-
mum nominal capacity of 5 A/100 Ah.

age.
The fork arms must be resting on the ground.
Switch off the truck.
Push the emergency off s
witch.
Unlock the battery hood. Open fully.
