On trucks with an elevated driver's compart-
ment, the position of the right-hand battery
door (1) is monitored by a microswitch (2).
If the battery door is opened, driving functi-
ons and lifting functions are deactivated. This
means that the truck cannot be operated if the
battery door is not properly closed.

Battery replacement using a battery
support (special equipment)
When replacing a battery using a truck and
a battery support (1), the battery hood on
trucks with an elevated driver's compartment
can remain closed, depending on the overall
height of the battery.
CAUTION
The truck floor may be damaged if the fork arms are
not correctly positioned on the covers provided.
Adjust the fork arm distance accordingly.
CAUTION
Damage to the battery hood if the battery is lifted
too high.
Only raise the battery support to a sufficient height
for it to be safely removed from the battery compart-
ment.

The truck floor in the battery compartment may be
damaged if the battery is not lifted high enough.
