Belt Installation
NOTE: Be su re t o install be lt in th e s ame d irection
as it was removed.
1. Loop be lt over the drive clutch and over the driven
sheave.
2. Rotate th e dr iven clu tch a nd wa lk th e be lt into the
clutch.
3. Rotate / spin the driven clutch and belt approximately
5
-7 times to properly seat the belt in the driven clutch.
4. Install the outer clutch cover and (8) screws. Torque
screws t
o specification.
PVT Break-In (Drive Belt / Clutches)
A proper break-in of the clutches and drive belt will ensure
a longer life and better performance. Break in the clutches
and drive belt by operating at slower speeds during the 10
hour break-in p eriod as r ecommended ( see Chapter 3
“Engine Break-In Period” for break-in example). Pull only
light loads. Avoid aggressive acceleration and high speed
operation during the break-in period.
Outer Clutch Cover Retaining Screws:
45-50 in. lbs. (5 Nm)
