Installation
1. Place the A-arm in the correct position for ball joint
installation. Face the A-a rm e nd flat on to p of the
driver. Carefully drive the ball joint into place until the
ball joint is properly seated.
2. After the new ball joint is installed into the A-arm,
ins
tall a NEW retaining ring.
3. Reinstall the A-arm (see “FRONT A-ARMS -
Removal
/ Replacement”).
4. Repeat the b all jo int ser vice procedure for an y
a
dditional A-arm ball joint replacements.
FRONT STABILIZER BAR
Stabilizer Bar Linkage Removal
1. Elevate and safely support the front of the vehicle.
2. Remove the lower shock mounting fastener from the
u
pper A-a rm on ea ch side of the vehicle (see
“Exploded View”).
3. Remove the up per portion of the linkage from the
stabiliz
er bar on each s ide of the v ehicle (see
“Exploded View”):
4. Inspect the linkage assemblies for signs of ex
cessive
wear or da mage. Re place lin kage a ssembly if
damaged.
5. Reverse th e procedure fo r in stallation. To rque the
l
inkage fasten ers to spe cification ( see “Exploded
View”).
Stabilizer Bar Removal
1. If stabilizer bar linkages are installed, remove the nut
and linkage bushings (see “Exploded View”).
2. Remove the hood and fro nt b umper ( see “ BODY
COMPONEN
T REMOVAL”).
3. Remove the (4) T30 Torx fastene
rs retaining the front
bumper support to the frame.
NOTE: Properly support th e bumpe r support an d
wires
that are attached.
Press into the A-arm
in this direction
Place driver HERE
to support A-arm
