SWITCHES / CONTROLS
Ignition Key Switch / Headlamp Switch
1. Disconnect th e ke y switch ha rness by lifting the
connector lock and pulling on the connector. Do not
pull on the wiring.
2. Test between the 4 sets of outputs (OFF / ON LIGHTS
/ ON
/ START). If any of the tests fail, replace ignition
switch assembly.
• Move the switch “ON LIGHTS”. There should be
co
ntinuity between pins A and E; C and D.
• Turn the ignition key to ON. There should be
co
ntinuity between switch pins C and D; E and F.
• Turn the ignition key to START. There should be
c
ontinuity between switch pins A and B; C and D;
E and F.
Ignition Key Switch (INTL)
1. Disconnect the key switc h harness by lifting the
connector lock and pulling on the connector. Do not
pull on the wiring.
2. Test between the 4 sets of outputs (OFF / ON LIGHTS
/ ON
/ START). If any of the tests fail, replace ignition
switch assembly.
• Turn the ignition key to ON LIGHTS. There should
be
continuity between swit ch pins A, E and F; C
and D.
• Turn the ign ition key to ON. The re should be
contin
uity between pins C and D; E and F.
• Turn the ignition key to START. Th ere sh ould b e
contin
uity between pins A a nd B; C and D; E and
F.
