Gearcase Disassembly / Inspection
1. Drain an d pr operly dispose of ge arcase fluid.
Remove any me tal particles from th e dr ain plu g
magnet.
2. Remove the (7) cover scre
ws and remove the cover
plate assembly.
3. Remove the LH output hub assembly from the clutch
h
ousing or outer cover plate assembly.
NOTE: Nylon spacer is non-serviceable and should
not
be removed.
4. Remove an d inspect the ar mature pla te. Refer to
“
AWD Diagnosis” for detailed inspection process.
