Cooling System Specifications
Recommended Coolant
Use only high quality antif re
eze/coolant m ixed with
distilled water in a 50/50 or 60/40 ratio, depending on
freeze protection required in your area.
CAUTION: Using
tap water in the cooling system will lead
to a buildup of deposits which may restrict coolant flow and
reduce he at dissip ation, r esulting in p ossible engine
damage. Pola ris Pre mium 60 /40 An tifreeze/Coolant is
recommended for use in all cooling systems and comes
pre-mixed, ready to use.
Cooling System Pressure Test
1. Remove the hood from the front cab.
2. Remove pressure cap and pr
essure test the cooling
system using a commercially available pressure
tester.
3. The system must maintain 10 psi for five minutes or
l
onger. If pressure loss is evident within five minutes,
check the filler neck, radiator, hoses, clamps and
water pump weep hole for leakage.
