3.3.1Introduction
RADWINwirelesslinksmustbeplannedbeforeinstallation. Thedesignatedinstallationsite
mustbeappraisedtodeterminethatthewirelesssystemisabletooperateefficientlyand
provideconnectivitywithoutsignaldegradation.
RADWIN2000+Seriesoffersawideoperatingfrequencyrange.Afreefrequencychannel
mustbedeterminedwithintheoperatingrange,foroptimumperformance.

3.4Stage1:PreliminarySurvey
Beforevisitingpotentialinstallationsites,asmuchdetailaspossibleshouldbeobtained
aboutthetwodesignatedradioinstallationsitesandtheareabetweenthem.
Toperformapreliminarysurvey:
1. Markthetwodesignatedinstallationsitesonatopographicmapofthearea.
2. Measurethedistancebetweenthesites;checkthatitiswithinthespecifiedrange
oftheequipment.
