Linkestablishmentistypicallyaonce‐onlytask.Linkmaintenanceisrequiredforfine‐tuning
thelinkandconfigurationofspecialfeaturessuchasVLAN,QualityofServiceandmore.
6.2LinkEstablishment
6.2.1LinkConfigurationWorkflow
Assoonpowerandnetworkconnectionsaresuppliedtotheradiounit,itwillcommence
transmittingandreceivingpack etsrelatedtomanagementonly‐thatis,noservicetrafficwill
besentorreceived.
Activation:FortheRT‐A(HBS)tocarryoutservice,itmustbeactivated.Activationand
Deactivationareeffectedquitesimplybyclickingatogglebutton.
Discovery:AssumingthattheradiounitintendedastheRT‐B(HSU)(SlaveODU)ismounted,
aligned,andpoweredup,itwilldiscovertheRT‐A(HBS)establishingalinkfor
managementonly.AtthispointtheRT‐B(HSU)maybemanagedovertheair.
Registration:Ha
vingIdentifiedtheLinkRT‐B(HSU),thelattermustberegisteredtotheRT‐
A(HBS)toenabletrafficbetweenthem.
Followingregistration,youcansetseparately,
