6.8.8 DOUBLE FEED DETECTION
Mechanism
The double feed sensor [A] at the registration roller [B] detects differences in the
quantity of light through the paper. The sensor measures this at about 13 mm from
the leading edge of the paper. If the quantity of light becomes less, the machine
detects a double feed.
NOTE:
1) Do not use paper that is printed on the rear side, or the double feed
sensor might detect incorrectly.
2) Do not change the paper type in the middle of a job
3) Double feed will not be detected for the first sheet of paper.
