Note
Aminimumof5cm(recommended5-10cm)ofslackcablemustbeallowed,
bothinsideandoutsidethecabinet,wheninstallingcables.Thisistoallowfor
vibrationdamping,maintenanceandmeasurementerrors.Alwaysdouble-checkyour
measurementsbeforetakinganyirreversibleactions.
3Dependingonwhetherthecablehaspreviouslybeeninstalledinconduits:
aIfthecablehasalreadybeeninstalledinconduits,measurethemaximumlengthof
cablerequiredtoreachfromtheîżnalcableclipoutsidethecabinettotheterminal
blocksinsidethecabinet,add20cm,thenremovetheexcesscable.
bIfthecablehasnotbeeninstalledinconduits,measurethemaximumlengthof
wirerequiredtoreachfromthecableglandtotheterminalblocksinsidethe
cabinet,add20cm,andmarkthecable.
Note
Thecableâ souterinsulationwillextendintothecableglandtoapointapproximately5
mmoutsidetheoutersurfaceofthecabinetwallintowhichthecableglandissecured.
4Carefullyremovetheouterinsulationfromtherequiredcablelength.
Becarefultoavoiddamagetothescreening!
5Leavinganappropriatelengthofthescreenexposedfromtheinsulation,cutoffthe
remainder.
Securingandterminatingcables
Onceacablehasbeenpreparedfortermination,itmustbeconnectedtoaunitorcabinet.
Prerequisites
Electricalinstallationscanonlybedonebycertiîżedelectricians.Allnecessarytoolsand
instrumentsrequiredmustbeavailable.Theinstallationshipyardmustpreparedetailed
drawingsoftheelectricalsystem,andidentifyeachcable.
